For example, if you have registered for YellowPin® and you are out and about, say at The Valley View Center in Dallas, you would send a text message to "555888" with the message "pl valley view center, dallas, tx." Then your friends, whether they are on a phone or on a PC, would be able to know that you're shopping at Valley View, and if they want to join, they can come on over and meet up with you.

And YellowPin® works the other way around, too. So, for example, if you are looking for your friends, you would send a text message to "555888." But, this time you might text in "pop" and YellowPin® would let you know the popular activities and places around you ranked by the number of your friends participating right now. So, it could tell you that five friends are shopping at one place, four friends are having a drink at another place, and three friends are playing basketball at a third place. Now you know what is going on and can make better decisions about what you want to do.

No! YellowPin® does not track you automatically. You are in complete control of when and to whom you update your activities, so if you don't want to tell anyone where you are or what you are up to, you don't have to.
